Outdoor campaigns on 2011

10. November 2011

On Monday, November 7, Diversity Enriches launched an outdoor campaign to show how sexual orientation is just one part of a person and that this should not influence how the person is treated.

This year there were four people on the campaign posters: Erki Pehk (noted conductor, gay), Liisi Ojamaa (poet, bi), Lisette Kampus (human rights activist, lesbian) and Liina Vahter (actress, straight). The main message was that there are more things similar between people (we are all sons/daughters, sisters/brothers, collegues; we all have hobbies and quirks), but for some reason people tend to notice the sexuality first, even though it should not matter as much. We all should be treated equally and respectfully.

On December 5, Diversity Enriches launced an outdoor campaign to draw attention to the fact that disabled people are people too - they all have some interests and skills, but people don't seem to acknowledge it yet.
